Clinical Trials
The KineSpring® Knee Implant System is inspired by high technology and elegant design, but its true value will be demonstrated through rigorous clinical experience. Moximed® is currently studying the KineSpring System for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee in clinical trials in Australia and Europe.
The OASYS Trial is Moximed's first study designed to evaluate the Safety and Feasibility of a Load Bypass Knee Support System for the Treatment of Osteoarthritis (OASYS).
This 30 patient study will assess the safety of the KineSpring System in patients who have previously failed medical therapy for knee OA. Acute implantation success, incidence of adverse events, and pain, activity, or disease specific scores will be reported at various time points over the five-year follow-up period.
Dr. David Hayes and Dr. Craig Waller of Australia are the investigators in this study. Enrollment into the study is complete, and patient follow-up continues.
The OAKS Trial is a single arm study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of KineSpring System in treating patients with symptomatic osteoarthritis of the medial compartment of the knee. The OAKS study is currently enrolling patients.
The primary objective of the COAST Trial is to determine the clinical benefit of the KineSpring System by assessing changes in knee pain and/or function six months post baseline assessment. The study will enroll as many as 40 patients from six centers in Europe. The COAST study is currently enrolling patients.
